Errors follow the OpenAI format: a JSON body with an error.message field.

401 — Invalid or missing API key

Check the Authorization header format (Bearer sk-live-...) and that the key is active on the API Keys page.

402 — Insufficient balance

Your balance does not cover the estimated cost of the request. Top up and retry.

429 — Rate limit

Default limit is 60 requests per minute per key. Space out your calls or contact us for a higher limit.

503 — Provider unavailable

The upstream provider failed or is out of capacity. Your hold was refunded in full. Retry shortly; if it persists, try another model.
